Laser Body Sculpting

Safe, Fast and Effective for Losing Inches off your Waist,
Hips and Thighs.

Low level laser technology by Zerona® is used at Riverview Chiropractic to create tiny microscopic tears in your most stubborn fat cells. The emulsified fat is then secreted naturally through cells and filtered out through normal body activity. The result is lost inches and pounds and, the better looking, slimmer body you’re looking for.

Removes Fat

Removes Fat with No Pain, No Recovery Period and No Side Effects

Zerona is the first non-invasive body contouring procedure to effectively remove excess fat without the negative side effects associated with surgical methods. It uses cold laser technology developed by Erchonia, which has been shown to emulsify fat and safely secrete it out of the body.

Although this technology was originally utilized to help assist tumescent liposuction procedures, it was found that the cold laser treatment alone helped patients reduce inches from their waist and hips*.

Lose Inches

Losing Stubborn Inches Has Never Been So Easy

Cold laser treatment with Zerona at Riverview Chiropractic is easy, painless, and totally relaxing. Some of our clients even use the time to nap or listen to music in the privacy of the treatment room. Many clients have described the session as relaxing, and even Zen.

Ultimately, the treatment is a stark contrast to traditional methods of fat reduction procedures such as liposuction and gastric-bypass surgery. At Riverview Chiropractic, you can simply lie down, relax, and let the laser do all the work.

Quick & Simple

In and Out in Under 60 Minutes.

Each body sculpting session at Riverview Chiropractic takes less than an hour; the low-level laser is used for a total of 40 minutes. The laser is directed to the targeted area, which is generally a combination of the waist, hips, and thighs. After 20 minutes you simply turn over and the very same treatment is applied to the opposite side.

For best results, the minimum suggested treatment period is 18 visits taken over 6 weeks, 3 full session each week. You should speak to the friendly staff at Riverview Chiropractic about the maximum results for your body type, weight, and target loss.

Painless Cold Laser Technology

Since your treatment uses cold laser technology, you will feel nothing during the procedure. You may feel slightly different and lighter as you exit your treatment due to the bio-stimulation that begins in your body.

What is Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique?

Activator Methods chiropractic technique was developed in the late 1960’s and in the past 40 + years has grown to be the most widely used “low-force” technique in chiropractic. This specific system of adjusting has been developed with the ability to restore proper spinal balance and to do it with improved safety and comfort.

How Does the Activator Adjusting Instrument Work?

The hand held Activator instrument has been specially designed to deliver a controlled, light and fast thrust without undue strain to the patient. The thrust delivered by the instrument is so quick that it accelerates ahead of the body’s own tendency to tighten up and resist the thrust of an adjustment. Because of the accuracy and controlled light force, Activator Methods adjustments are suitable and comfortable for all types of patients, ranging from pregnant women, babies and children, to athletes and senior citizens.

What is the Doctor doing when I am First Examined on the Adjusting Table?

Your Doctor of Chiropractic is using a testing procedure which utilizes a system of body mechanics, neurological reflexes and leg length testing to check your overall spinal balance and help locate the misalignments in your spinal column. These vertebral misalignments may be the source of irritation to your nervous system causing pain and problems in your body.

Can Chiropractic Help Me?

Some people have the misconception that chiropractic care is only good for low back pain, “slipped discs”, stiff neck, sciatica, whiplash and other spinal related problems. While it is true that anyone suffering from these or similar problems should try chiropractic care first, it is not generally known that chiropractic is able to assist in correcting and stabilizing many other problems of bodily dysfunction.

How Long Will it Take to Get Well?

Chiropractic philosophy teaches that you should always endeavor to correct the basic cause of a problem rather than try to remove a symptom. The length of time on the road to wellness depends on factors such as following your doctor’s treatment recommendations, your living habits, nutritional habits and the severity and duration of the problem. Your Doctor of Chiropractic will design a personal program which will help you in the shortest amount of time possible.

Will I be Permanently Well or Will This Condition Ever Recur?

There are not set guarantees in life, and many events occur which upset the delicate balance of wellness. For example: Trauma such as car accidents, falls, jolts, strains, etc. Psychological distress such as fear, stress, emotional upset, etc. Life style choices such as improper diet, exercise, sleep, work, etc. Since we are all prone to many of the above stresses there is no assurance that we will not get sick as we go through life. Therefore it is wise to visit your chiropractor periodically in order to maintain proper spinal function. The end result is a healthier you.

Is Chiropractic for Everyone?

Your Doctor of Chiropractic is specifically trained in chiropractic health care. Upon consultation and examination, if your Chiropractor determines that you do not have a chiropractic condition your doctor will refer you to the appropriate healthcare professional. Please feel free to ask any questions or express any concerns you may have as your chiropractor is committed to your health.

<![CDATA[Acupuncture]]>http://www.riverviewchiropractic.org/services/acupuncture/http://www.riverviewchiropractic.org/services/acupuncture/Wed, 07 Jun 2017 7:18:13 +0000ACUPUNCTURE: WHAT IS IT?

Acupuncture is a method of encouraging the body to promote natural healing and to improve functioning. This is done by inserting needles and applying stimulation at very precise acupuncture points.

HOW DOES ACUPUNCTURE WORK?

The classical Chinese explanation is that channels of energy run in regular patterns through the body and over its surface. These energy channels, called meridians, are like rivers flowing through the body to irrigate and nourish the tissues. An obstruction in the movement of these energy rivers can cause disease.

The meridians can be influenced by needling the acupuncture points; the acupuncture needles unblock the obstructions, and reestablish the regular flow through the meridians. Acupuncture treatments can therefore help the body's internal organs to correct imbalances in their digestion, absorption, and energy production activities, and in the circulation of their energy through the meridians.

The modern scientific explanation is that needling the acupuncture points stimulates the nervous system to release chemicals in the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These chemicals will either change the experience of pain, or they will trigger the release of other chemicals and hormones which influence the body's own internal regulating system.

The improved energy and biochemical balance produced by acupuncture results in stimulating the body's natural healing abilities, and in promoting physical and emotional well-being.

WHAT IS THE SCOPE OF ACUPUNCTURE?

Medical acupuncture is a system which can influence three areas of health care:

 • Promotion of health and well-being
 • Prevention of illness
 • Treatment of various medical conditions.

While acupuncture is often associated with pain control, in the hands of a well-trained practitioner it has much broader applications. Acupuncture can be effective as the only treatment used, or as the support or adjunct to other medical treatment forms in many medical and surgical disorders. The World Health Organization recognizes the use of acupuncture in the treatment of a wide range of medical problems, including:

 • Digestive disorders: gastritis and hyperacidity, spastic colon, constipation, diarrhea.
 • Respiratory disorders: sinusitis, sore throat, bronchitis, asthma, recurrent chest infections.
 • Neurological and muscular disorders: headaches, facial tics, neck pain, rib neuritis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, various forms of tendinitis, low back pain, sciatica, osteoarthritis.
 • Urinary, menstrual, and reproductive problems.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

The number of treatments needed differs from person to person. For complex or long-standing conditions, one or two treatments a week for several months may be recommended. For acute problems, usually fewer visits are required.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS TO THE TREATMENT?

Usually not. Occasionally the original symptoms worsen for a few days, or you may experience bruising where the needles were inserted. These should not cause concern. It is quite common with the first one or two treatments to have a sensation of deep relaxation or even mild disorientation immediately following the treatment. These pass within a short time, and never require anything more than a bit of rest to overcome.

WHAT ARE THE NEEDLES LIKE? DO THEY HURT?

People experience acupuncture needling differently. Most patients feel only minimal pain as the needles are inserted; some feel no pain at all. Once the needles are in place, there is no pain felt. Acupuncture needles are very thin and solid and are made from stainless steel. The point is smooth (not hollow with cutting edges like a hypodermic needle) and insertion through the skin is not as painful as injections or blood sampling. The risk of bruising and skin irritation is less than when using a hollow needle.

DOES ACUPUNCTURE REALLY WORK?

Yes. In the past 2,000 years, more people have been successfully treated with acupuncture than with all other health modalities combined. Today acupuncture is practiced widely in Asia, the Soviet Union, and in Europe. It is now being used more and more in America by patients and physicians. Acupuncture treatments can be given at the same time other techniques are being used, such as chiropractic adjustments, and homeopathic prescriptions. It is important that your acupuncturist know everything that you are doing, so he or she can help you get the most benefit from all your treatments.

IS ACUPUNCTURE COVERED BY HEALTH INSURANCE?

Most insurance companies currently cover acupuncture costs, other companies do not yet recognize the value of acupuncture. Each health policy must be reviewed to determine acupuncture benefits. More and more insurance companies are recognizing the value of providing coverage for acupuncture services.

Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression

Spinal decompression is a non-surgical, traction based treatment outcome for herniated or bulging discs in the neck and low back.

Effective for Many Spinal Conditions

Anyone who has back, neck, arm, leg pain caused by a degenerated or damaged disk may be helped by spinal decompression.

These conditions include herniated or bulging discs, spinal stenosis, sciatica, facet syndrome, spondylosis, or even failed spinal surgery.

Decompression Therapy Sessions

In almost all cases, the treatments are completely painless. In fact, some people fall asleep during the spinal decompression session.

The number of sessions needed and your specific treatment plan will be determined by the doctor after your examination.

To reduce inflammation and assist the healing process, supporting structures may be treated with therapy, chiropractic adjustments if indicated, and/or rehabilitation.

Why Decompression Therapy is so Effective

Doctor skill combined with the computerization traction head are the keys. Proper assessment, correct positioning and the use of pre-programmed patterns of distraction and relaxation may reduce disk pressure allowing nutrients to accelerate disk healing.

Don't Risk Surgery!

Spinal decompression has saved many people from spinal surgery. If you are suffering from a degenerated or herniated disc, don't risk surgery until you have explored safe & effective spinal decompression!
